Prosaic Glow - Ceramic Sculptures by Fiona Wong Lai-ching

Wong Lai-ching, Fiona, received her MFA at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997, now a renowned local ceramic artist as well as a teacher. Working with a medium that defines China's greatest antiquities, Wong creates ceramic sculpture with unparalleled skills and contemporary visions. She currently teaches at the Hong Kong Art School. As a teacher and one of Hong Kong leading sculptors, Wong’s influence on the arts is profound. Wong has been invited to various artist-in-residence programmes held in Australia, Germany, America and Taiwan; her works have been widely exhibited and collected by museums and private organisations around the world.


黃麗貞於 1997 年畢業於香港中文大學藝術系碩士課程,為本地著名陶瓷藝術家及藝術教育工作者,現任教於香港藝術學院。善用中國自古以來最精緻的陶瓷物料,配合她嫻熟的技藝譜寫出當代城市人的心曲。黃麗貞曾參與多項藝術家駐場計劃,到澳洲、德國、美國、台灣等地汲取文化養份,作品亦曾多次於本地及海外展出,更廣為中英美港博物館收藏及私人收藏。
