A Chinese antiquity aficionada, Miranda Tsui graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, and taught at the School of Design, Hong Kong Polytechnic University in early 2000s. She worked with major fashion groups in Europe and Hong Kong. Her art and design projects have been exhibited worldwide. She is also the author of “Flatness Folded” (MCCM Creations, 2008), a book to promote contemporary Chinese design. Currently Miranda is a design consultant and runs a boutique of exquisite antiques.

Her video work is currently on show at the "NOT A Fashion Store!" at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, The Wing, G/F. and 1/F. until 5 January 2022.

“A distinctive feature of Chinese culture, and one which I find contrasts most poignantly with the Western way of thinking, is its emphasis on essence rather than form and its subtle sense of the implicit. The Chinese believe that the beauty of an object does not lie in its eye-pleasing appearance, but rather

in the significance it embodies.”

Join us as she shares her inspirations and 'flatness folded' design concept in this intimate gathering.
